Where to watch BSU vs IDAHO?

It's the biggest rivalry game in our state! On November 14th, when Boise State takes on the Idaho Vandals on the blue - the game will ONLY be broadcast on ESPNU. The game was supposed to be on Channel 7, but ESPN made the call to change it.  Boise State and Channel 7 weren't a part of this decision. Some things are just out of our control!

The upside to this news is that ESPNU is a network seen in 55 million households across the nation, so this is great exposure for both teams. The downside? An estimated 40 to 45 percent of households in the Boise market don't get ESPNU.  That number is probably even higher statewide. It all depends on what satellite or cable service you have!

Here is how you can watch the game on ESPNU in our area:

CableOne: Channel 301

Direct TV: Channel 614

DISH Network: Channel 148 or 141

BSU Athletic Director Gene Bleymaier hopes fans who don't get ESPNU at home will make plans to watch the game elsewhere, or buy any available tickets and come to the big game:

"Obviously, the exposure is very beneficial. Unfortunately, it will exclude some homes locally which is unfortunate with this game, because that hasn't been the case in the past." - Gene Bleymaier, BSU Athletic Director

KTVB President and GM Doug Armstrong, released this statement:

"The Idaho / Boise state game is a huge rivalry and should be available to all Idahoans. Unfortunately ESPNU reaches only 40 percent of television homes, and the WAC television contract gives ESPN the right to take this game. We told ESPN that we would air the ESPNU version on KTVB for free, and we even offered to produce it for ESPN free of charge. We've done everything we can." - Doug Armstrong, President and GM of KTVB
