Imagine being in the 8th grade, and needing a heart transplant? That's the case for 14-year-old Tyler Neddo. He's a student at Lewis and Clark Middle School here in the Treasure Valley - but right now - he's in Seattle waiting for a much needed new heart.
All of his friends and teachers at Lewis and Clark have been worried about him, and they wanted to do something to help.
They came up with "This One is for Tyler" - a fundraising campaign to help pay his medical costs. The goal? If every student and staff member brought in ONE dollar for Tyler - the school would raise over a thousand dollars for Tyler's family. So, the campaign began!

They not only met their goal of a thousand dollars, they surpassed it! The school raised close to $4,000. The school presented the check to the Neddo family at a special assembly last week. The best part was, they were able to Skype in Tyler from his hospital room in Seattle. The kids were so happy to see him, and to let him know they care! Tyler was happy to see them too. :)
