This past Saturday, my family and I took part in the Buddy Walk in downtown Boise. It's a walk held every year by the Treasure Valley Down Syndrome Association to promote acceptance, and raise awareness and money for educational and recreational programs. It was so heartwarming to see the turnout! Hundreds of people out on a beautiful Saturday morning walking to support a great cause.

What a crowd!

My family was on TEAM ISABELLE. Isabelle was born a few months after my son Cash, and is the beautiful daughter of Randy Scott. She has down syndrome. If his name sounds familiar, that's because it is!

He's one of the morning show hosts (of "Randy and Alana" fame) on WOW Country 104.3. Since Isabelle's birth, he's been a champion for the cause. He was the emcee of the event before we walked, and also at the "after party" at Julia Davis Park. He's a great Dad, and setting a great example of doing everything he can to make the world a better place for his little girl. I love that about him.

What a great day!
