St. Mary's School Blanket Drive
When it's cold outside (like it is right now) nothing is better than a cozy blanket. The sad thing is, not everyone has one. The kids at St. Mary's School know that, and they decided to do something about it. The 2nd grade class organized a "Blanket Drive" to help keep people in our community warm. The whole school got on board!
The Sanctuary House Shelter needed at least 40 blankets this winter, and the kids at the school were able to come up with 70. That's an amazing accomplishment for such a small school.
Here's a picture of some of the 2nd graders involved in organizing the drive.
This wasn't a one time deal either. Every week, the kids at St. Mary's bring in food for the Idaho Foodbank, or donations for local shelters.
Congrats to all the kids who took part in this!
St. Mary's School seems to just have a giving spirit...
