A popular baby chair used by millions of parents has been recalled. I have this chair in my home, so when I saw this recall - I thought I should blog about it to help get the word out to all of you. The Bumbo seat may have caused nearly two dozen infant skull fractures. The Consumer Product Safety Commission says babies can wiggle out of the floor seats, and fall.
There have been at least 50 incidents where babies fell from Bumbo seats while they were being used on tables, counters etc. CPSC says another 34 babies fell from the seats while they were being used on the floor. There have been 21 reports of skull fractures.
Consumers are asked to stop using the seats immediately and to contact Bumbo for a free repair kit that includes a safety belt.
