Jill Knapp and Dr. Oz

Jill Knapp of Nampa will make her television debut tonight on "Dr. Oz"! This local wife and mom lost 100 pounds and became a Mrs. Idaho contestant. Dr. Oz tracked her down on-line, and invited her on his show to share her incredible story. How cool is that?

KTVB's Ysabel Bilbao did a great story on her last night, watch it here:

I wanted to hear all about her story, and her experience going to New York and taping the show - and she had some great things to say... so, here you go:

MO: How did you wind up on Dr. OZ?

Jill: They found my weight loss story on the world wide web. They called and asked if I would come to New York the next week and tape a show with Dr. OZ. I had the time of my life!

MO: What do you want people who watch to get out of the show?

Jill: This show is about 3 former beauty pageant contestants that have struggled with weight issues for years. They asked me to come on the show to inspire them. To show them that weight loss is possible with hard work. I am 42 and If I can do it any one can. I am now mentoring these 3 women. we are in touch daily. I help them stay motivated to reach their goals. I give them advice when they are stuck and down. It's been an amazing journey so far.

MO: What was Dr OZ like? Was it fun to go to his studio and tape the TV show?

Jill: Dr. OZ was so kind. When you watch the show you will notice I was not even nervous. He was calming and just so nice. Also it was nice having my husband back stage. :-)

MO: What's next for you?

Jill: I will be back on the Dr. OZ show two more times. One for the mid point check, and the other for the finale where one of these 3 ladies will win. I'm also a diabetes advocate and a motivational speaker. I love helping others reach their weight loss goals.

PS: I broke my ankle 1/2 way through losing the 100 pounds. I always think that is good to share because I still lost during my broken ankle. It took 9 months to heal. It just gives that feeling if I can do this anyone can!

You can watch Jill tonight on "Dr. OZ" 24/7 at 8pm!

There's also a special watch party for Jill tonight in Nampa, and you can stop by if you'd like!
