Have you heard of Kimbo's Cookies? It's a local cookie business that's making national news in Woman's Day magazine. The business is making headlines, and the owner! Her name is Kim Wollenburg and she lives right here in the Treasure Valley.

She is profiled in the December issue of the magazine for her inspiring story, and how she started her business. It's on news stands now if you want to check it out.

We've featured her before at KTVB. In June of 2010, she was struggling financially and it was tough for her to find a job due to a history of drug addiction. A drug addiction that she overcame, and she desperately wanted to get back in the work force.

She's a single mom, and she cares for her grown son with Down syndrome. She loved to bake sweet treats, and so she decided to take a chance on starting a cookie business. It's a good thing she did. She launched Kimbo's Cookies in August of 2011. Best decision ever! Fast forward to December 2012, she's making a living doing what she does best. Selling beautiful cookies.

She also recently wrote an e-book about her life experiences so far. It's about her addiction, her recovery and how she created her new life.
