There are so many neat things that happen in our community, and KTVB just can't get to them all! Today's BLOG is about one of those events...
The kids at St. Joe's Elementary School knew that if they met their reading goals for Red Ribbon Week's "BEE SMART, DON'T DO DRUGS" campaign - a local priest would make good on a promise to them.
St. John's Father Mariusz Majewski promised the students that if they accomplished those goals, he would take Principal Antonia Bicandi for a ride on his motorcycle - and the whole school would get to watch them go!
(Yes, this "cool" priest has a motorcycle!)
Well, the kids met their goals... so Father Majewski and Principal Bicandi changed from their "priest and principal" clothes to their "motorcycle clothes" and VROOM VROOM... off they went!
The kids all gathered outside to cheer them on!
We are pleased to report the Principal came back safe and sound!
