You could say Boise's Olympic Aerial Skier Jeret "Speedy" Peterson has a lot on his plate right now... he's gearing up for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, and he's going to be a celebrity trainer TONIGHT on NBC's "The Biggest Loser"!

I saw the promo for tonight's episode of "The Biggest Loser" - and there he was!

It will be on tonight on KTVB at 7pm

Jeret is becoming more and more high profile as he gets ready to compete for the GOLD in Vancouver. Once again, he's quickly becoming a media darling. I sent him a message on Facebook yesterday with all sorts of questions, and fortunately he had some time to get back to me for this BLOG:

MO: Tell us how you wound up on "The Biggest Loser"? How did it all happen?
JP: I have been doing so much with NBC's "The Today Show" - and they seem to really love me! One of the producers from "Today" asked me if I would consider going on the Biggest Loser. Of course, I said yes, but then I said - "what is it that you want me to do because I am trying to put ON weight!" They asked me to be a celebrity trainer for a day on the show, and I thought it would be pretty incredible to see the whole program they are on.

MO: What was the experience like? How inspired were you by the people you met?
JP: I was supposed to be a motivational special guest for the contestants, but man - did that get turned around on me like you wouldn't believe! It was by far much more motivational and inspirational for me to be with all of these contestants. They are dealing with obesity and doing tougher workouts than I do as an Olympic athlete. I didn't hear a SINGLE complaint out of any of the contestants. It was blood sweat and tears the whole time.

MO: What did you do/say to inspire them?
JP: I can't tell you what I said to inspire them, you have to watch the show!!! : ) But, I will tell you this, there is one moment on the show with one of my favorite people that I won't soon forget He doesn't know how much he has impacted my life in just a short meeting. It was AMAZING!!!

MO: Are you ready for the games? Will you do your famous "Hurricane" jump?

JP: I am SO ready to the Olympics and I leave (today) Tuesday! YAY!!! I do plan on doing the Hurricane, weather permitting! Ha ha, that's funny, cuz its true! My goal is to win. Plain and simple.

MO: What would you like all your fans supporting you to know here in Idaho?
JP: I want to hear from all of my Boise fans and I love reading their inspirational messages. I love Boise and cant wait to get back there!

You can find "Speedy" on Facebook, and follow him on his Olympic adventure. You can even send him messages, he wants to hear from all of you!
