This past Saturday night, I was given an amazing opportunity. I was asked to emcee the Idaho Miss Amazing Pageant at Kuna High School. It's a pageant that celebrates the abilities of girls and women with disabilities.
Rachel Kaufman, Maggie, Jennifer Claassen
This was the first one for the state of Idaho, but it's a national organization. A local woman by the name of Jennifer Claassen heard about it, and decided to make it a reality here in Idaho. She worked hard to bring it here with the help of her good friend Rachel Kaufman, and many others.
21 girls and young women took part. That's a great turnout for the first year! Here we all are backstage, at intermission.
I met so many wonderful people, and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. This was such a special night for these girls and young ladies. Every girl is a winner! I was so honored to be a part of it all. I already asked to help out next year. Congratulations ladies!
