Stuffed Horned Frog Abuse?
Did you know it's illegal to drag a stuffed FROG from the back of a moving car?
Well, apparently it is!
We got an e-mail last night in our inbox that I just had to share with all of you today. It's pretty entertaining...
Since TCU's mascot is a Horned Frog, this family decided to bring one along to Phoenix. Only problem is, looks like the frog didn't get a seat in the Ford Expedition for the trip!
This is from the Thurston Family:
Thought you might enjoy this story. My son and I were traveling to Glendale for the Fiesta Bowl on Saturday. We had an interesting first day of travel. Being big bronco fans, we got a great idea to drag a stuffed animal frog along all the way from Boise:
We made it to 75 miles north of Las Vegas, and were subsequently pulled over by a Nevada sheriff. Not for speeding, not for a tail light burned out, not for swerving or driving erratically, but for dragging a stuffed animal frog through Nevada!
I guarantee you we are the only people this sheriff has ever stopped for dragging a stuffed animal across Nevada. Who knew Mountain West fans (UNLV Rebels) would affect decisions on the Nevada highways. The sheriff that pulled us over indicated that the stuffed animal could become a hazard to other Idaho bronco travelers if it fell off and hit them. (WHAT?)
I also note he wasn't concerned about Nevada drivers, only ones from Idaho. We had no idea it was illegal to drag a stuffed animal (frog) across Nevada. We were thankful after the stop that we weren't playing the razorbacks this year."
