Are you still mad that BSU was snubbed by the BCS? If so, you can join a group of Boise State fans just like you! They started a Facebook page called www.fixthebcs.org that you can check out for more information.
Tonight, they are gathering at Schooners in Meridian at 5:30 p.m. to do anything and everything BUT watch the BCS Championship. You can boycott with them if you'd like. It's open to the public!
The group's mission:
"We believe that silence is all that is required for the BCS to maintain the status quo. Our goal is to give a voice to the millions of college football fans who agree that the BCS is a broken system. In the process we aim to make a positive impact on any local economy we influence by encouraging citizens to get out and support local businesses instead of inadvertently supporting the BCS system with silence."
The group's philosophy:
"We are NOT whiners. We are college football fans who care about the sport and are frustrated by a blatantly broken BCS system. As fans we are inclined to watch the BCS games, but we realize that doing so supports a system we disagree with. We will instead find something else fun and positive to do during those times so that our voice is heard."
