Are you ready for the 2011 Boise Music Festival? It's this weekend, and it's bound to be a blast! You can watch local and national bands play their hearts out in Ann Morrison Park. The Festival is this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. - the best part is admission is FREE to the public. You don't need a ticket! Big names like Sugar Ray, MC Hammer, and Joan Jett are set to perform on the main stage!
Peak Broadcasting organized the family friendly event last year, and it was such a big success, it's now back for a second year. Peak Broadcasting Senior VP Kevin Godwin says the idea was to "fill the void" left in the Treasure Valley after the Boise River Festival ended back in 2002. The public seemed to like the idea, because thousands of people went last year!
New this year, FREE lottery tickets! 20,000 tickets will be handed out at the Festival, and you could win some pretty cool prizes. That's because 7,000 tickets are guaranteed to be winners. You can also watch the Idaho State BBQ Championship, enjoy food vendors, arts and crafts, and the kids can jump all day long in a variety of bounce houses! Lots of fun to be had for all.
