Today is Groundhog Day! You may be having Bill Murray flashbacks... I love that movie. But that's not what this blog is about.

You have heard of Punxsutawney Phil in Gobbler's Knob, Pennsylvania, right? He's the most famous groundhog on earth. If he sees his shadow on Groundhog Day - we have six more weeks of winter to look forward to. If he doesn't see it, we can look forward to an early spring.
Well, he didn't see his shadow this morning! That is supposed to mean an early spring for us. YAY!
But before you get too excited... I have another angle to this story. One you may not like if you want spring to get here quickly.
Larry Gebert spent the morning with Boise Bill (our prognosticating prairie dog at Zoo Boise) and he DID see his shadow. That means six more weeks of winter for us here in Idaho. Oh dear.
