I got a great picture today via e-mail from a viewer (Thanks to Robin Dahl) that I wanted to share with you all!
Garrett Buffington was fishing with friends on Saturday at C.J. Strike Reservoir. He saw a baby deer running to escape from a coyote on the bank. Then, he saw the deer get in the water to try to swim away, but the little deer was just too tired to make it.
Garrett was able to scoop the deer up out of the water and bring it on board the fishing boat! They released it on the bank with the coyote out of sight, hoping it could reunite with the mother.
This is probably the only time you'll hear about a fisherman reeling in a deer!
Good job Garrett!
