One of the teachers at Chaparral Elementary is in crisis, and the school is putting together a silent auction to help her. When I heard about this situation, it really touched me, and I knew I needed to blog about it. This family needs a lot of help and support

Jodi Bryant gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on December 22nd. On that same day, her husband Eric was diagnosed with a deadly brain tumor. Sadly, his diagnosis is terminal. He is now disabled, and requires 24 hour care.

Jodi teaches 4th grade at Chaparral, and right now she is on maternity leave. Her leave ends on February 14th. The staff and students are hoping the auction they are planning for this Wednesday night will raise enough money so that Jodi can stay home to care for Eric and her new baby until the start of school next fall. Each class is donating a gift basket to the cause! All the money raised will go to Jodi Bryant and her family during this difficult time.

If you'd like to go to the auction to support this teacher and her family, you can! It's open to the public, and everyone is welcome.
