Let it snow! Or shall we say, let it BLOW?
It's very windy out there, and that combined with the snow is making the weather conditions pretty nasty today. There are several school closures due to weather - the list is on our homepage. The University of Idaho campus in Moscow is closed today too! It must be bad there as well. I must admit, I often wish for snow days here at Channel 7, but for some reason they want us to come in and COVER the storm - not stay home and make snow angels. :)
Rick Lantz came in early so we could do team report weather. He was in the studio, Larry was outside, and Edgar took on the road report. We like to go BIG when we have something to talk about. We bring the whole crew in! Rick is always fun to have in the studio with us - today he called Edgar "Ed" a few times and that made us all laugh. For a minute, I was thinking "who is Ed?" Poor Rick, it's hard to come in early and work the night shift too. He's sleep deprived to be sure. We laugh a lot behind the scenes, it keeps our energy up, and it keeps the crew in a good mood!
Speaking of what we do behind the scenes - I came across this anchor team "Dance" online - and I had to share it with you. I was so impressed! Now I have to say, I'm not coordinated enough to pull this off - not by a long shot - and Doug isn't either. (Sorry, Doug! But I think you would agree with me on this one?) We both enjoyed watching it though. I think you will too. Copy and paste this link into your browser and enjoy!
Hope you have a great Monday, and stay safe out on the roads! With a high of just 33 degrees today, it's going to be icy out there.
