I love Fridays... for obvious reasons. I'm sure you love them too. But be prepared, Larry says it's going to be cold this weekend, highs in the 30's... and lows in the 20's. So be sure to bundle up for all your fun weekend activities here in the Treasure Valley!
Well, there's no good way to say this - our state economic situation is a bit gloomy right now. Yesterday, Gov. Otter said state job cuts could be a lot worse than we thought.
We thought 100 jobs would be lost, but now Otter says it may be more than that. His state of the state and budget address is Monday at 3pm... you can watch it live here on Channel 7 or online. Hopefully he'll have some light to share at the end of this tunnel.
In political news, it looks like the highly publicized Larry Craig story may finally be over. Yesterday, his lawyer said former Senator Craig will not be asking the Minnesota Supreme Court to void his conviction for that now famous airport bathroom incident.
The court would not accept a petition for review of the case - so it looks like it's all over. Craig insists he's innocent.
And - finally, the hip Aspen Lofts in downtown Boise (9th and Front) are almost complete! They are also nicknamed the "skinny condos" because they aren't very wide. Take a look -
I would love to live in one of these, wouldn't you? Look at the view! WOW!
There is a slideshow and some more info on our homepage. Pretty neat, and right in the heart of downtown. I wonder how the closet space is??? Hmmmm.....
Have a great Friday everyone and enjoy your weekend.... :)
PS. Tune in Sunday night at 10pm for my Seven's Hero this week! Two incredible people who are "giving back" in their golden years! Quite an inspiration....
