Did you catch any of the coverage on the 10, count em' ...TEN... Inaugural Balls last night in prime time?
It looked like so much fun! President Obama and Michelle made an appearance at each ball, and didn't arrive at the last one until 2:30am. Can you imagine how tired they must be? What a day, and night! I loved Michelle Obama's gown, by the way. I'm a girl, I notice these things... she always looks so classy. Here's a pic, if you missed it:
Yesterday, I watched the oath with my co-workers here at the office...
And yes, we work at a TV station with a wide assortment of TV sets, but for some reason - we sat around this teensy tiny TV to do it. I have no idea why:
Despite the itsy bitsy television, it was a momentous occasion. History made.
So, now I need to get used to saying President Barack Obama on the news, and not President Elect Barack Obama. I blew it already once this morning, and my producer quickly got in my ear (not literally IN my ear, in my ear PEICE) and told me "NO NO NO! He's the PRESIDENT now, Maggie!"
Now I have half an eardrum in my left ear, and I will never make that error again. :)
