So the snow fell, but Larry says it was just a skiff. I have to say, I was happy to see that we weren't pelted with snow overnight! I was not looking forward to trudging through it today. Is that bad? Not slipping and sliding in our KTVB parking lot on snow and ice is always a plus! I've taken a spill several times out there, and wouldn't you know - someone is always there to watch me, and laugh at me too. It's character building... :)
Today - we had some members of the Boise Fire Department in the studio to talk about the 2009 Burnout Fund Calendar. They always bring me my own copy! Here are the 2009 cover models from BFD:
Each month features a different studly firefighter - something tells me my husband won't appreciate me hanging it on our fridge. I may have to give my copy to the single girls here in the office!?
But - you can get your own copy for $10, and all the money goes to a great cause. The Burnout Fund helps families who are displaced by house fires... For questions about upcoming calendar signing locations (you can see these guys in person) or the Boise Burn Out Fund, please contact Charlie Ruffing at 590-1437.
This morning... we had a lot of discussion behind the scenes about the upcoming Superbowl! Larry and Doug are HUGE Steeler fans... so since I'm neutral (or so I thought!) I decided I would side with them (for the sake of a friendly work environment) and cheer for the Steelers. Go Steelers! Right? Right!
Wrong. My better half caught wind of this - and apparently I learned that at our house - we're major Dallas Cowboy "Fans". So apparently, I am not "allowed" to cheer for the Steelers. (Big rivalry there, I guess? You see how much I know about pro-football) Anyhoo, I am now hoping the Cardinals win. Or so I am told! For the sake of a happy marriage, I am going against Larry and Doug. Sorry guys! Go Cardinals!
Either way, come Monday - I'm going to have to deal with someone (Larry and Doug, or my hubby!) who will be depressed. Someone has to lose! Don't forget you can watch the Superbowl right here on NBC on this Sunday afternoon... :)
