So, this weekend I really lucked out and had the chance to go to the Special Olympics Opening Ceremonies as a regular spectator. What an incredible experience it was... something I won't forget! Take a look at the LINES to get in.... it was the longest line I have ever seen - I had to take a picture to show all of you:
All the pomp and circumstance was so much fun to be a part of! Here is the cauldron before it was lit... and before the athletes came in:
Then the athletes filled the Idaho Center up!
Wouldn't you know it... right after that picture was taken... my camera battery died. I was kicking myself for hours! All in all, it was really a special experience. I'm so glad I had the chance to go. Our TV production was even more impressive - we are going to replay it again and again - so if you missed it, check our 24/7 listings.
*We also have a Special Olympics Event Schedule online... so look for that! What a great chance to see some sporting events, and to feel inspired.
