I'm sad that the Olympics have come to an end, but thrilled to hear the games have inspired one of my co-workers to ramp up his exercise routine.
KTVB producer Jeremy Stiles says he was watching the men's 5,000 meter race, thinking about how cool it was to watch the runners jockey for position.
His next thought, "Why am I watching this, I've never run that far!" "I should start trying!"
So, next thing you know Jeremy laced up the sneakers and jogged around his subdivision. He walked and ran for about 20 minutes.
His goal: "Just to keep seeing how long and how far I can go." He joked "Will the urge to run pass, I hope not."
Asthma is a problem for Jeremy, so our smoky skies aren't helping right now. But, I have faith in my producer and I hope he keeps me up to date and lets me know if the Olympic inspiration holds up.
