It's a day very few of us will ever forget.
September 11th, 2001.
The day our country underwent the worst terrorist attack ever on American soil.
I remember when I heard the news. My husband and I were building a house at the time and we were in his pickup driving to look at new samples for our new home. We had our favorite country music station on in the truck and I'll never forget how odd it was to have the morning D.J. break in with the news that planes had hit the Twin Towers in New York. My first move was to dial my cellphone and check with my father in Portland to see if any of our family members were flying that day. He said no. Next, I told my husband to drive home because I knew where I needed to go, to the station and get to work. From that point forward, so much has changed for all of us, and who knows what's in the future.
So, my blog today is to ask, where were you on September 11th when you heard we were under attack?
Let's share our memories. You can do so through the comments section at the bottom of this blog.
In the meantime, I hope on Saturday, September 11th, we all remember those no longer with us and relish in the love of those we have with us now.
