She's a 19-year-old with Boise ties and country music in her blood.
Denae Gardner joined us this week on the Midday News at Noon and gave us a small taste of her big time vocals.
Here's the clip:
Denae's music is described as "edgy rockin' country, with a traditional flavor of blues and bluegrass."
You can hear her in person this Saturday, July 23rd.
Denae will be performing at 3 p.m. at the Boise Music Festival at Ann Morrison Park.
Here's a little bit more on her background:
Danae moved to Boise with her parents in 2004 and helped form a band that played local high schools and a few clubs. She played the Boise area until May of 2008, when she signed a management agreement with Tunnell International and a production/recording agreement with 4D Productions/4D Records.
In April of 2010, Denae began recording new songs in Nashville with legendary Producer David Z.
Denae is currently writing songs, preparing new demos, and preparing for live shows to come this spring and summer.
Denae's first CD titled "LIVE & The Nashville Sessions" was recorded in August of 2009.
