What do your kids eat after school? If it's junk food, then tell them to read this blog, grab one of these tickets (see above) and get to Wal-Mart.

On Thursday, September 9th, the Wal-Mart in Meridian along with the State Department of Agriculture will be giving away a free bag of Idaho-grown produce and locally produced milk.

This free offer is a way to get the "Idaho Preferred" brand out there. Even more, it's a way to get kids to think about eating well when they get home from school.

Here's what you need to know:

Place: Meridian Wal-Mart (Fairview and Eagle Rd)

                            Date: Thursday, Sept. 9th

                            Time: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Note: Meridian students can get a ticket for this event at their school.

Enjoy, Carolyn
