Two absolutely wonderful things have happened to me in the last five days because of two generous people.
First, I lost my cellphone. Okay, it's a dinosaur and no one would want it, probably die if they had to talk on it, but I love it. Anyway, I lost it and was really fretting over how I was going to get all my contact numbers back. But, guess what, no need to worry. Apparently I lost it at one of our local grocery stores and some very nice person turned it in to the courtesy counter. Lucky, yes....thankful, you bet.
Now today, the second good deed came my way. I was riding my bike home from the gym and my tire went completely flat. I looked to my right, and right there was a bicycle shop. I couldn't believe how lucky I was, but that's not all. I want to thank the manager of Eastside Cycles for putting some slime into my front tire, pumping it up and sending me on my way. You see, I had no money with me and he basically paid it forward.
Lucky lady, I don't think so....I think there are just some good people out there doing good deeds.
