It wasn't so easy for KTVB reporter Jamie Grey to reel in a big fish story this week.
She worked several days over the last couple of weeks trying to track down the guy who caught a "monster" at Parkcenter pond.
Here's the story behind getting the story.
The fisherman had no phone. But, his brother did and he told Jamie that his brother goes to the pond every day that it's nice enough out to fish.
So, off goes Jamie and her photographer. Several days for several weeks the duo headed out. With gear in hand, they'd even do a lap around the pond searching for the elusive fisherman.
The big break came Wednesday morning, when the fisherman called us because he wanted to report his "own" fishing story.
That was just the bait Jamie needed and that's when she finally got her fisherman hook, line and sinker for the big fish story of the year!
It's a great story, in fact it's one for the record books. So check out her work with one of our award winning photographers Mike di Donato.
