So, a funny thing happened on the way to the front door this morning.
The doorbell rings and I can see before I open the door that a delivery lady is waiting on the porch with a huge vase of red roses.
I yell out a big thanks to my husband who replies that he didn't order any flowers for Valentine's Day!
So, I think he's bluffing or maybe it's those sweet sons, who really must be growing up if they're going to send flowers to their mom on Valentine's Day.
Wrong on all fronts!
As I open the door to accept the flowers, the delivery lady stands there with a request that brings me back to reality. No, these flowers aren't for you, but could you hold them for your neighbor who isn't home right now?
My answer, I will.
My next words, 'honey don't worry about buying me flowers this year. I figure I already have a bouquet to enjoy for a little while until the real recipient comes over to get them.'
