Happy Valentines Day to all of you.
A new message is out about heart disease and it's really easy to understand.
Experts at the Mayo Clinic say rather than focusing in on what is hurting your heart, focus in on these three numbers: 5, 8 and 10.
- Eat 5 fruits and vegetables a day.
- Sleep 8 hours a night. (This actually helps you lose weight too.)
- Exercise just 10 minutes a day.
These same experts say 80 percent of heart disease cases are preventable.
On Wednesday, Feb.15, one of the leading cardiologist on women and heart disease will appear on our News at Noon.
I'll be asking Dr. Beth Malasky about new research and new ways to keep our hearts healthy.
Have a good Valentines Day and be good to your heart!
Carolyn
