It’s a Pumpkin Patch Fundraiser and the pumpkins aren't any ordinary pumpkins.
Here's the deal:
This Saturday, at Boise Fire Station 10 on West McMillan near North Cloverdale Road, you can pick a pumpkin and your donation will go to the Idaho Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
Here's the kicker: The pumpkins are grown by the firefighters!
Every year, firefighters at Boise Fire Station 10 grow a pumpkin patch just outside the firehouse. One day in the fall, the firefighters open up the patch to families to come pick a pumpkin!
That day is this Saturday from 9 a.m. -5 p.m.
By the way, these firefighters are good growers. The Station 10 pumpkin patch has an estimated 700 pumpkins this year!
