I'm sure most of you know about the extra days you get this year to file your taxes. But, just in case you're sweating it out thinking they are due on Friday....they're not!
This year you have until Monday, April 18th.
So, for those of you who will be spending your weekend wrangling over taxes, here is some information to help you out come Monday.
The Idaho Tax Commission is once again offering up curbside service in Boise.
From 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 18th Tax Commission and IRS employees will be at the Washington Group Plaza at 800 Park Blvd. to accept your state and federal tax returns.
But, remember this: The IRS won’t accept returns with payments.
A news release says taxpayers can drop off federal returns with payments at the IRS Taxpayer Assistance Center in the federal building at 550 West Fort St.
Also if you have tax questions, you can walk into the Boise office or call 334-7660 in the Boise area or (800) 972-7660 toll free to get answers. The office and phone hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, including this year’s April 18th tax deadline.
