KTVB Meteorologist Jim Duthie supplied me with another KTVB vacation destination.
This one is kinda prehistoric, and for good reason.
It's near Baker, Oregon.
Here's what Jim has to say:
"Along the Shoreline Trail at Phillips Lake, southwest of Baker City, OR, between the Union Creek Campground and Mason Dam. Don't know how long it has been going on, but hikers have erected scores of rock piles covering a couple of acres. They look like lots of little stone creatures or mini-high-rises. Somebody even put out up two signs: one says "Bedrock" and another says "Flintstone". Some of the rock piles are very artistic! Nine miles down the road is the historic gold mining town of Sumpter, Oregon."
