For me, today was the official kick-off to the holidays when it comes to my professional life!
It was the annual and very funny KTVB toy shopping spree for kids in need.
This year Kim Fields, Scott Evans and Jay Tust joined me for one of the craziest mornings ever.
We were able to grab as many toys as we could in two minutes! The goal: $6,000 dollars worth of fun stuff for the kids!
We did it!
While it's great fun for me and my co-workers to dash as fast as possible down the toy aisles, in the end the real joy is that those toys will go to kids who likely wouldn't get anything on Christmas Day.
I would like to thank Fred Meyer for donating the money and the time to this toy drive.
But for KTVB, this is just the beginning of what we do during the holidays. On Saturday we will take to the streets at the Boise Christmas Parade to again, collect toys for kids in need. I hope you have something for us!
Then there is Stuff the Bus, where again we team up with Fred Meyer to collect as many toys are we can. The buses will be ready for your donation December 1st.
I'm looking forward to doing what we can for children during the holiday season. I hope you feel the same way.
