I took a walk (ON THE WILD SIDE)

Yesterday I brought up walking in this blog, so last night that’s exactly what I did. Only, on my walk, I ended up being (ON THE WILD SIDE). No kidding, listen to what happened to me.
I took off on the greenbelt, nodding hello to other walkers and admiring the beautiful Boise River. All of a sudden I heard a loud crack and I looked up and over to see a big, no a huge branch come crashing down just inches from me. I couldn’t believe it. This hunk of wood would have torn an ugly gash in my head had I been just steps ahead.
I walk or ride that stretch of the greenbelt fairly often and I have never seen a tree branch collapse so quickly.
But, you know we had those really strong winds the night before with a heck of a lot of rain….so I guess it was just a matter of time until that tree wanted to give way.
Lucky me….I wasn’t in its way!
In the end, after lifting up and dragging the big branch to the side of the path, I was on my way and thankful that was the only WILD part of my walk on the greenbelt.
How about you, have you had any crazy stuff happen to you during a walk? Love hearing your stories, so share them with me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
