A dear friend and fellow baseball mom is waging a tough battle right now. Debi Jorgensen has leukemia and it appears it will be a two and a half year fight that will take her in and out of the hospital. Debi and her family have kept up a great attitude about this ordeal. Does that surprise you?
This is the family that has given so much so that your kids can participate in baseball and softball.
Debi is the mom who worked years during and after her son’s playing years to support East Boise Little League, which is now East Boise Youth Baseball and Softball.
Debi coordinated the snack shack and organized the kitchen staff to raise funds for the Boise Gems Legion baseball team.
Debi served on the volunteer board, attending meetings and making decisions so that the Gems could have one of the finest Legion baseball programs in the state.
Debi is a giver, not a taker and that’s why I wanted you to know it’s time for her to let us give something back.
This Saturday April 16th we are holding a Fundraiser for Debi Jorgensen. It starts at 5pm and will go until 9pm. We are holding it at Stub's on Federal Way.
This is a family event.
For a $25 dollar donation you will get a hamburger, chips and two drinks.
We want everyone to know that Stub's has generously offered to donate the burgers and drink included in the ticket price, so ALL proceeds will go to the Jorgensens!! THANK YOU STUBS!
Additional donations are welcome. There will be silent auction items as well.
If you have questions you can email me at cholly@ktvb.com.
I hope all of you who cherish Debi and admire her dedication to our kids and their love of sports will turn out to support her.
Carolyn
