The first and only Women's Heart Health Care program in the northwest opened this week at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise.
It's for women only, and the reason is because women have so often and for so long, been misdiagnosed when it comes to heart disease.
This could, or dare I say should, change things ladies.
However, it's not just for women who have had heart attacks -- it's much more than that.
There you'll find what they call a "comprehensive approach" to women and heart disease.
There will be testing, treatment and most of all education.
I know one lady who is happy to have this in our town. To meet her check out my report at the top of this blog.
If you want more information give the Women's Heart Health Care program a call at (208) 367-3555.
Oh, and don't forget Friday is Wear Red Day. It's another way to highlight women and heart disease.
