I’m hoping you can stop by for some holiday cheer on Friday night, as I get to help the city of Meridian kick off its holiday season.
It’s the Meridian Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in Generations Plaza at the corner of Main Street and Idaho. City Council President Brad Hoaglun and I get to emcee this event.
We’re going to have a great time with several school choirs performing, essay winners announced, flipping the switch to light the big blue spruce, and of course, the “man” himself Santa Clause will be coming to town.
Oh…if the above doesn’t get you and your family out on Friday night, how about free hot chocolate and coffee from Starbucks and free doughnuts from Krispy Kreme!
It all starts Friday Nov. 30th at 6:00 p.m. with the special showing of the cartoon "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."
The Christmas tree lighting show starts at 6:30pm.
-See you there!
