Yeah, I know you might be having a hard time grasping the changes to what we’ve known for so long as the Women’s Fitness Celebration. Well, guess what ladies the name has indeed changed to FitOne but the mission of this event hasn’t changed all that much.
It’s still about doing something healthy!
In fact, the new sub title of the event is “Move for fun, get fit for life.”
Something else new: Families are encouraged to be part of it!
That all sounds good, but is it making people worried that this event is changing too much? That it no longer will be a bunch (thousands) of women dancing and singing and walking and running their way from downtown Boise to Ann Morrison Park.
The organizers of FitOne say don’t worry….all that is still going to happen!
You’re still going to have a highly energized day but now more people can join you.
The starting line with all the music and festivities will continue to be right in front of the Idaho Statehouse.
-But new this year, another start line for a 9k course that starts at the Old Penitentiary on Warms Springs Ave. and winds its way through some of the prettiest parts of our city.
-There is a new Competitive Stroller wave where active moms can compete in age groups.
-And also the new 5k Family Wave where families can run together!
Are you in again this year? I am and so are many of my co-workers who proudly turn out that day to be part of this great event. Here’s the link to sign up www.fitoneboise.org/
See you there, Saturday morning September 21st!
