On Thursday March 3rd, Idahoans will get a chance to hear about the latest treatments in breast cancer.
It's the Expedition Inspiration Laura Evans Memorial Breast Cancer Symposium.
This free event has been held for the last 15 years in Sun Valley where Laura lived.
This year a panel of experts will update everyone on “Targeting Therapy in Breast Cancer: Where Are We Now?”
The meeting will be chaired by Expedition Inspiration Scientific Advisor, Marc Lippman, MD, one of the country’s leading authorities in the field of breast cancer. Featured speakers include physician-scientists: Joyce O’Shaughnessy, MD, Co-Chair of Breast Cancer Research and Chair of Breast Cancer Prevention Research at the Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center, Texas Oncology and Cliff Hudis, MD, Chief of Breast Cancer Medicine Service, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
These people know their stuff and they are willing to take questions.
The forum will be in the Continental Room of the Sun Valley Inn from 5 – 7 p.m.
