Here’s a unique study that’s happening locally.
ISU-Meridian researchers are recruiting children for a study to explore pacifier use in kids.
The question: Do pacifiers affect speech development?
They are looking for children between the ages of 3 ½ and 5 ½ years old who’ve used a pacifier or have no history of use.
The goal of the project is to research the history of pacifier use with speech delays and also typical developing speech.
Here’s what you need to do if you would like your child to participate in this study:
Parents will be asked to complete a brief survey about their child’s background and development.
Your child will undergo a two-hour speech and language evaluation.
The results will be provided to parents at no cost.
Call the clinic at 208-373-1725 or email Nagoda at nagotama@isu.edu before February 13.
