Mrs. Audrey Ingram is about to do something she has never done in her 90 years of life: ATTEND A BSU FOOTBALL GAME!
This Vale, Oregon native is headed to Bronco Stadium Saturday where she will see in person a team she dearly loves.
Audrey is pictured above with some of the people who work with her at her new home at Presbyterian Community Care Center in Ontario, Oregon.
One in particular, Nikki MacGregor shared the back story about Audrey and why her presence at Bronco Stadium should be an inspiration to all of us.
Here is Nikki’s edited email:
“Audrey came to our facility just over one year ago for skilled rehab. Even though she experienced a life changing event, she persevered through a difficult time with such a wonderful positive attitude.”
“She is an energetic, hilarious, kindest of heart, women with all her wits about her, and best of all, she loves Boise State Football. Last fall, I would return to work on Monday and Audrey would know game times, scores, and players of interest. “
“Last winter, I told Audrey if her health was still well, I would love to take her to a Bronco football game for her 90th birthday. She was absolutely excited. Recently turning 90 years old and going strong, I will be doing as promised. On October 1st, Audrey Ingram will be going to her very first Boise State Football game vs. Nevada!”
If you want to say 'hello' to Audrey she’ll be sitting in the wheelchair accessible seats on the BAA patio between section 5 and the endzone
Oh, you might catch her before she even enters the stadium. This spunky 90 year old will be tailgating prior to kickoff in all her game day attire!
