Anybody else have this problem right now?
We have a mouse in the garage.
I know cold weather brings the critters in, but even into a garage is something that really freaks me out.
I saw the little varmint scurry across the garage floor. It sent me screaming.
So, the first thing I did was take my sisters advice and try those sticky strips. You know the ones in a container where the mouse is suppose to step on it and can't get away. Well, guess what? This mouse drags that strip away!
So, next up I tried those good old wooden mouse traps.
My dearest friend who is not afraid of mice at all told me to put peanut butter in the trap because mice can't resist the gooey stuff.
I did, but that's when things got ugly.
Each time I would set the trap down, it would snap. That was almost scarier than seeing the mouse!
Anyway, after several unsuccessful attempts at just getting the trap on the floor of the garage without it going off, I finally asked that same dear friend to use her country upbringing to help me get these traps out. She did.
Guess what, she also found one of the original strips, the sticky one, the one that somehow dragged itself away, had actually caught the mouse.
Am I happy? You bet. Is the story over? No!
Just in case there is more than one of those little monsters, we decided to set more of the wooden traps.
She actually set the traps. I just watched. She has the touch. None of them went off when she set them down.
So, now we wait and watch.
Will we discover that the original mouse, now dead, may not be the only one who wanted to come inside during the cold?
