BOISE -- Each day of fall camp, Boise State head football coach Chris Petersen will name the "Camper of the Day."
Here is a complete list of the players that have earned the honor so far. Check back each day for updates.
Day 4 - August 8
Recipient: Marcus Henry, Sophomore, Guard
After redshirting in 2011, Henry saw significant playing time as a backup in 2012. Henry played in 11 of 13 games last season, and will compete for a starting spot at guard in 2013.
Praise from Pete: "Marcus has been competing very hard, and he has been working his tail off since this past spring. He certainly showed up today."
Day 3 - August 7
Recipient: Jonathan Brown, Senior, Linebacker
Brown played in eight games as a redshirt junior during the 2012 season. He picked up 10 tackles and a sack.
On a young defense, Brown brings experience (26 career games played) and leadership.
Praise from Pete: "He's showing great senior leadership for us out here, and he brings a lot of energy to our defense. He knows what he's doing, and he's playing at a high level."
Day 2 - August 6
Recipient: Corey Bell, Junior, Linebacker
Bell played all 13 of the Broncos' games as a sophomore in 2012. The Capital High alumnus recorded 45 tackles and scored his first career collegiate touchdown when he returned a fumble 19-yards against Wyoming on Oct. 27.
Bell started four out of the final five games last season, including the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas against Washington. He recorded a career-high eight tackles against the Huskies.
Praise from Pete: "Corey knows only two speeds - fast and full. He is very dialed in to what we're doing out here, and he brings a lot of positive energy to this team."
Day 1 - August 5
Recipient: Darian Thompson, Sophomore, Free Safety
Thompson played in all 13 contests and started the final six games at free safety in 2012. Playing as a redshirt freshman, he finished eighth on the team with 43 tackles and his three interceptions were tied for the second most on the Broncos.
Praise from Pete: "Darian had a really good summer. He came into camp in top-notch shape. He knows what he’s doing out here. He picked up right where he left off at the end of last season.”
