NFL Draft Day Projection: 5th-7th Round
This will be Kellen Moore's final chance to workout in front of a large group of NFL scouts prior to the NFL Draft (April 26-28). Unlike the NFL Combine, Kellen will get to focus more on his strength at Boise State's Pro Day. Choosing not participate in any of the speed and agility drills, Moore will opt only to throw to try and show off the timing and accuracy that helped him become the winningest quarterback in the history of the NCAA.
To no surprise, Kellen opted to only throw on Pro Day. But being given the opportunity to concentrate solely on what he does best, Kellen was nearly perfect. The signal-caller completed 52-of-54 passes he put in the air with his only incompletions coming on an overthrow on a deep ball, and a miscommunication on a route with Tyler Shoemaker.
Other than that, he showed off the accuracy and timing that made him a Heisman finalist in college. To put an exclamation mark on his performance, he even capped the day with back-to-back 60-yard throws into the endzone, which hit his receivers in stride.
While there are numerous skeptics about Kellen's size and arm strength, following his workout today one NFL scout said "he's changed my mind."
