BOISE -- Word of Boise State's Hawaii Bowl berth came a bit earlier that many expected. But as soon as that news came, so did the calls to local travel agencies.

Harmon Travel often arranges trips to away games for Broncos fans.

And with both the basketball and football teams on the islands at the same time -- the men's basketball team will compete in the Diamond Head Classic tournament that same week -- there's more incentive for fans to dish out the money for a trip to Hawaii.

"The sky's the limit, that's the thing we find whenever we go to Hawaii for a football game is that we've got people going every which way, different dates, different schedules," said Bob Harmon. "Many will go ahead and extend the vacation and include Maui or Kauai or one of the other islands as well."

Harmon Travel is offering packages for the basketball games, for the Hawaii Bowl, and for both.

As far as flights go, Allegiant Airlines offers a non-stop flight that leaves Boise on Dec. 21 and returns on Dec. 27.

Whatever you choose, agents say the sooner you book, the better deals you'll be able to get.

Tickets to the Sheriton Hawaii Bowl are available for purchase here.
