BOISE -- Boise State will begin installing a new video board in Bronco Stadium.
The new video board, built by Daktronics, will measure 37.2 feet tall and 58.8 feet wide, or 2,187.4 square feet. The 15mm HD LED display panel features world-class image processing that produces up to 281 trillion colors, and advanced pixel layout eliminates color shifts at off angles.
"An upgraded video board has been a priority for us, and our intention is to have it installed and functioning by the third game of the season or sooner," BSU Director of Athletics Mark Coyle said. "We are very excited to improve the overall game experience for our fans."
Locally-owned Agri Beef Co. will be the title sponsor for the new video board. The company has previously provided financial support for construction of the club area in the Stueckle Sky Center.
The new video board will sit on the roof of the newly-constructed Bleymaier Football Center.
Additionally, Bronco Stadium's sound system will also be receiving an upgrade. A new sound system will be installed in conjunction with the video board upgrade.
A decision on what to do with the previous video board, which was installed at Bronco Stadium in 2001, has yet to be determined.
