BOISE -- Friday night’s matchup between the Boise State Broncos and the Brigham Young Cougars could feature a shootout on the scoreboard much different from last year’s 7-6 outcome.
Both teams will start quarterbacks that are not afraid to run, and have had success doing it this year.
Redshirt junior Grant Hedrick will start for the Broncos in place of injured senior Joe Southwick. Hedrick replaced Southwick against Nevada, and led the Broncos to a 34-17 victory. In his limited action this year, he has shown that he is very fleet of foot, rushing for 192 yards and four touchdowns.
Taysom Hill is the starter for BYU, and leads the team in rushing yards with 772 and nine touchdowns.
