BOISE -- Incoming coach Bryan Harsin has weighed in on the controversial dismissal of BSU quarterback Joe Southwick for allegedly urinating off a balcony.
Speaking to ESPN commentators over the phone during the Hawaii Bowl, Harsin affirmed interim Coach Bob Gregory's decision to send Southwick home just days before the bowl game.
Asked his reaction to the scandal -- including Southwick's claim that he was erroneously blamed -- Harsin said he had "full faith" in the BSU football coaching staff and administration.
"I back them completely," Harsin said, describing BSU's player culture as stark and no-nonsense, as it was cultivated under former Coach Chris Petersen.
"It's back to the game, and back to business," Harsin concluded.
