PROVO, Utah -- The Boise State Broncos are hoping to grab win number 90 for Coach Pete Friday Night.
The Broncos are on the road in Provo, Utah getting ready to take on Brigham Young University Cougars.
This game marks the fourth meeting between these two teams, and Boise State are 3-0 against BYU. The Broncos and Cougars are scheduled to play each other every year until 2023.
Boise State is carrying some confidence after rallying back to beat Nevada on October 19, and they did it with their backup quarterback. Bronco Nation is eager to see what Grant Hedrick will do in his first start at Friday's game.
The Broncos will face BYU's sophomore quarterback from Pocatello, Idaho, Taysom Hill, and Hill says he will have lots of fans and friends in Provo at the game on Friday.
BYU’s LaVell Edwards Stadium is one of the premier facilities to play at in the West, as it can pack in over 63,000 fans.BYU's Associate Athletic Director told KTVB's Sports Director Jay Tust on Thursday that they were very close to a sellout.
BYU averaged over 61,000 fans a game during the 2012 season. The only schools on the West Coast that average more fans have been UCLA and USC.
However, there is one group that won't be making the trip to Provo, the Keith Stein Blue Thunder Marching Band. Even though the Boise State Fight Song won’t be played from the Blue Thunder Marching Band, BYU’s Cougar Marching Band rehearsed the fight song Thursday in a showmanship display. They will be playing the Bronco Fight Song during the Bronco Roundup Pregame Show on KTVB at 5:00 p.m.
