BOISE -- Boise State will open and close its 2014 Mountain West football schedule on the blue.
The MWC league office released its tentative schedule today for each of the Broncos' eight league games. As it stands all the games are set for Saturday, but that is likely to change when ESPN and the other networks that broadcast the games finalize their TV schedules. Some games could be moved to Thursdays and Fridays.
Boise State will play each of its five Mountain Division opponents, and Fresno State, Nevada and San Diego State of the West Division.
The opening MWC league game is scheduled for Sept. 6 against Colorado State. The Broncos’ regular-season finale is scheduled for Nov. 29 against Utah State.
Other home games include big match-ups against Fresno State (Oct. 18) and San Diego State (Nov. 15).
Boise State’s conference road games are at Air Force (Sept. 27), Nevada (Oct. 3), New Mexico (Nov. 8) and Wyoming (Nov. 22).
The Broncos have two byes during the 2014 season, scheduled for the week of Oct. 11, and the week of Nov. 1.
The season will conclude with the Mountain West Championship Game on Dec. 6, which will be played at the home stadium of the highest-ranked divisional champion.
